Paranoia sets in as he becomes haunted by the number nine. Unable to pay his debt to Pete to his own satisfaction, Eddie begins to get sloppy with his business and people begin to notice. Even then, Louise tries to edge Eddie into the bedroom. Days later, Louise calls Eddie and asks him to meet her, but instead Eddie throws a party for the couple.
